Pink it Out!

As most people know, this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There are lots of things that normally aren't pink that pop up everywhere this month to raise money towards fighting this disease. There are walks and runs and lots of people pulling together. For us, the last two Octobers have made us all too aware of breast cancer. Two of our favorite ladies ever...Booya and Ganny have gotten the dreaded news. Yes it's cancer. No matter how small, how early, how prepared you think you are, I don't think those words are ever welcome.

Here's the good news: They are both going to be just fine because of early intervention...regular mammograms...and of course lots of great research from really smart doctors and scientists that have brought things a LONG way. God has blessed our world with lots of talented people to help in this fight. I don't think I'm ever going to be doing lab research, but we can all do something right? So for our very small audience here on this blog (and anyone I see in person), we just want to tell you that mammograms are important. Going to the doctor (which I hate) is important. Go hug your Mom. And your sister. Or your daughter. Or your Aunt. Or your BFFs. And of course your Grandma (who come in many names). And when in doubt, always choose pink;)

*Prayers to Ganny on Monday for her surgery.
We know she'll do great!
