A Merry Season

We have enjoyed our Christmas vacation so far...and glad we don't have to go back to real life just yet. So blessed to see many friends, family and have lots of memorable experiences together. Here are a few that I managed to take a picture of but many more that I'll remember in my mind!

Treat Every Day Like Christmas

In one of our favorite Christmas movies (Elf), we have learned to "Treat Everyday Like Christmas"....no problem doing that this weekend!

We all look forward to our Christmas tradition with some of our great friends...spending a night together and eating too much, staying up too late, and enjoying every minute. I was sad I forgot my camera when there was so much cuteness going on, but see beyond the blurred pictures and into the fun we had:)

Boys being boys:)

 Waiting on some fun presents!

Girl time!

Boy time!

Trying to pose lots of kids time...they will thank us for this one day...we are sure of it.

As usual these days, not so many pictures of the grown ups...but thankful for the time we had together and looking forward to our next visits!

We made it back just in time for Christmas in Huntersville...which we have never been to as long as we've lived here!  We were tired but determined! Here they are looking out from the parking deck at all the fun waiting.

Fun with this trio!

A sledding adventure in our 50 degree weather. Pretty cool.

Finally got to see the Live Nativity at our church. Loved seeing these familiar faces showing the story of Christmas!

Parker is getting better at being Santa :) This is his new favorite picture pose with Tinley. He kept saying he was Parker Claus with his hat on.

And Tinley got to go to a Frozen party today...complete with her very favorite thing- having her face painted like a butterfly princess.

Do you want to build a snowman?

Merry Christmas every day!

Beginning to look a lot like... a wacky island Christmas?

Let the December festivities begin. We started the weekend with a Tacky sweater/tie party...

We were tacky, wacky...and whatever emotion this picture below shows?

Had a fun night with these ladies from my prayer group and their spouses. No shortage of creativity here!

Then we were up and off the next morning to breakfast with Santa at the preschool. Check out the shoes...not sure if they say "Merry Christmas" or "Theres no place like home" but she wanted to wear them to her fancy breakfast:)

Crafting..

Parker wanted to practice being Santa. Being Santa is harder than it looks.

Lots of treats to take to events means some good spoon time.

Must be time for laundry...no matching socks!

Our church kids put on the play "An Island Christmas." The kids were delighted to wear their summer clothes on a cold winter day. Felt kind of like rebels!

Parker is now learning to run the tech booth. Right up his alley and he did a great job!

The island fancy pants.

Good job spreading the message of what Christmas means no matter where you are!
