Our Little Turkey

Our little Tinley turkey has been singing her Thanksgiving songs...a lot...for a long time.  We wondered if stage fright would get her this year, but her gobble stood strong.

Mommy, Daddy, Booya, Grandaddy and Parker all came to see her!

Afterwards we went to the park for a beautiful day- at our school, we had been celebrating the Panthers.

Enjoyed lots of swinging...

Ladybug collecting...Parker says this is John the ladybug..hmmm.

Ninja moves...

And taking Uncle Matthew for a ride on the twirly seat.

Looking forward to a short school week and lots of family time ahead. Gobble Gobble:)

Seasonal Confusion?

This week we have seen some snow, a Christmas parade, played outside in the leaves and been able to wear short sleeves because the weather was so beautiful today. Wow- we are confused. We can't always predict the weather...or anything else for that matter but we will embrace it, enjoy it, and go with it!

"For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven."  Ecclesiastes 3:1

Playing outside!

We made some new friends babysitting this weekend.

Brandon and I took five kids to the mall...

And a parade... (and didn't lose anyone:)

A really really (too) early before Christmas parade...but we didn't want to miss it!

We met the Nutcracker and saw some of the ballerinas dance.

Today during church making some napkin rings to go with donated food for others. So glad our church is teaching this servanthood in a way kids can participate.

Trying to learn some new braids from people who are more hair savvy than I am (most people are!)

And finally- the outfit Tinley wanted to wear to church...we denied the tutu for church this time, but promised to let her pick out her own outfit when we got home. This was it!

Boys and girls sure are different:)

Hope your week is great no matter what "season of life" you are in!

We Give Thanks

In the spirit of November and Thanksgiving, I've seen many people posting what they are thankful for each day. A great reminder that we should be doing that everyday for our many blessings.

In everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus- 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thankful for a 97th birthday for Grandmother Bullis.

And family coming together to celebrate.

Thankful my children get to know several of their great grandparents including this special lady.

And chocolate pie from tasty bakery:)

And Aunts and Uncles...

And Booyas who are patient for one more touch of make up.

And new baby Hudson and his family who let me snuggle him.

And some fun on this thing?

And that despite their differences Tinley is still most thankful for her brother.

And cousins who "rob banks with you and pose like zombies."

And of course we are thankful for all the Veterans who are true heroes.

And in no relation to anything else...we are always thankful for this silly cow. And Parker will make me take his picture with him no matter how many times we see him (which is probably too many).

Tricks, treats, and other trips!

A little late in posting our Halloween pictures, but here we are!

A little food to give us energy for the long night.

The gang!

It was fun to have little Yoda, a first time trick or treater along with us!

Strawberry Shortcake gets in her groove.

Spiderman at the end of the night- tired with a bucket full of candy!

Parker and I took a road trip Saturday for me to go to Baby Cooke's shower (how did I get no pictures!!) and Lance's birthday party!

We had a beautiful homecoming service today at church where these two were especially loving to each other:)))

A little outdoor fun with the hammock.

Who says it has to be Halloween to have pink hair- not these two!

And a thought for the week:)

Thankful for the many praying angels in my life!!
