Attack of the Germs: Part 2

We made it through the week...but alas the germs got in our house- Tinley has a little bug but I think she's on the mend already. She has entertained herself calling people letting them know she's thrown up- might as well keep everyone in the loop. And although we promote sharing, we are hoping she keeps this one to herself.

Good News!! Cassie is home! Keep up the prayers for those kidneys as she will be traveling back and forth for dialysis.

Some happy pictures from the week before I get back to laying around with Tinley (really tough job I have)!

New leg warmers...one of the parents in Tinley's class made her these leg warmers....Love them!

A really great performance and learned a new curling technique for the curling iron challenged.

It worked! Curls!

Pinewood Derby time- front row seats for us.

Winner!

A design award for Parker (and Brandon;)

A lego event to prepare for the movie and some free stuff.

Babysitting- Tinley loves having her for real baby dolls!

Those tiny fingers!

Next week I'm determined not to use the word germs at all:)

Attack of the Germs!

So it seems everyone is getting attacked by germs and sickness in every direction we go. We are thankful we've been healthy (so far!) and praying for everyone we know who is under attack!  Here are some random photos of what we've been up to while trying to stay healthy.

Here is Parker on crazy hair day...pretty crazy!

There's always more room on Grandaddy's lap!

Tinley was the one and only self proclaimed cheerleader at Drew's basketball game. She showed off a couple quick splits!

Brad and Brittany had a "pig party" as Tinley called it and she was happy to wear a pig on her shirt...although I'm not sure pigs are that happy to be cooked.

Booya and I had a sleepover with Cassie at the hospital. She is such a trooper and although we wish she was home we were glad to be with her. Keep up the prayers for this sweet girl!

A little manicure always helps...

Look at her courage beads...a bead for all the things that she's done to require being courageous...wow she is brave!

Walking around a little...

Sleepover time!

Funny faces...

Booya temporarily stuck...help!

Hope that next time I'm home she'll be in her own cozy bed ready for another sleepover!

After a lazy Sunday, we needed to fancy up and get out. We put on our "finest" and went to get dinner and milkshakes.

Cheers to doughnuts for breakfast!

Hope everyone has a great week...and the
germs don't attack!

Faith, Hope, and Love

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Thank you so much for all the prayers for Cassie. She has had a difficult week but is now out of ICU. She is still in the hospital but making progress.  I have seen so much faith, so much hope and mostly I have seen LOVE as people have reached out their support and prayers. We'd love for you to continue to pray for a great recovery and for getting home!

Speaking of her going home, we've all been at work on a project to make Cassie's room a little more fit for a princess.

She's requested some butterflies and some butterflies she will have!

We all worked on painting these butterflies during the Panthers game...I think the paintings were a little more successful than the Panthers:(

But we are still fans and as Tinley says, they will come on again sometime.

And just when we couldn't bare to watch the end of the game, Booya found a volcano to make...With that and pizza- we didn't take it quite so badly.

We also got a visit with these cousins...I'm not really sure what happened to Parker in this picture?

Always fun to get in a good visit and be thankful for our time together.

Thank you again for all your prayers- and all of your faith, hope, and love. We are so blessed with great family and friends!

Prayers for a Princess

If you've talked to anyone in my family the last few days, we've asked for prayers for our Cassie.  She is at UNC hospital because she contracted the E.coli bacteria. She is very sick and we would love for you to join us in praying for her health, her family, and the doctors/nurses taking care of her. She sure is a special spunky princess and we can't wait to see her feeling good again.

Psalm 30:2- Lord my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.

Goodbye 2013...

Hello 2014!

About 6:00, it was not looking like we were going to make it until midnight....

But after a rest we were ready to go...and went over to celebrate with some friends. These Dads were hard at work so that the kiddos could have some accessories:)

Fun fun fun!

And in true party fashion...we had to have some sweets to make sure we could stay up ALL night!

And a dance party...with costumes...and guitars.  Everyone needs entertainment at their party.

Glad we got these special glasses right from Times Square:)

Parker tried to get a kiss at midnight!

And some of us were a little tired.

Happy New Year!
