Firsts...

Each week with kids (or anybody really) is filled with firsts...lasts...and lots of in between. Some are long awaited (first time on potty), some are dreaded (first time outs?), some are very special (first time they say I love you), and most just carve out moments on our journey. This week we had several firsts around here. Some desired. Some not so much. But all well noted:)

Our first (hopefully last) time that we look like this awaiting stitches. I do apologize Parker for taking this picture. It captures how I was feeling too...

So happy Dad got there to show off his matching stitches on his chin...Whew (we didn't want two people falling on the floor from our family)

Brave boy done and ready to go. He has fashioned lots of cool band aids this week.

Our first "muffins for Mom" at the preschool.

First time with matching shoes? Maybe.

Saturday we went to our first real "Garden Tea Party" at our church. Luckily they brought the Garden inside. These girls were happy with their little treats.

Look familiar?  Here we are again.

So nice to include our little ladies in this event.

Wonderful to have lots of special ladies around our church to love and care for Tinley....it takes a village!

Another first (I know this is hard to believe)...during our tea party, Tinley and I participated in a fashion show sponsored by Kohl's. We got to go pick our outfits (to borrow) and accessorize and everything. Hopefully our fashion modeling was better than our pictures. Not many that worked for both of us and I think I look like I have a crick in my neck from trying to bend down towards her as she looks off in the distance. A little awkward;)

But my girl can work the camera on her own. These were fashions for a "summer party"...would be nice to have some weather to match!

These models look like the real thing!

Luckily we made it to Parker's game just in time...where these two had spent too long apart apparently.

First "game ball!" This is the first team we've been on that has done a game ball for someone doing well during the game. Parker was very proud!

We were also lucky to have some visitors this weekend. Lindsay had a soccer tournament this weekend and she and Candi and their friend stayed with us. This is not our first dress up party, but we were glad to get everyone to participate!

And finally Tinley's first play. We were very excited to be going to see Pinkalicious together at the Children's Theatre! She picked out all her favorite Pinkalicious things to wear!

Yes...another rainy day...but inside we went this time!

My silly girl!

It made it much more fun to go with Tiffany and Sadie!

It was pinkarrific!

And after seeing dancing pink cupcakes...was there any way we weren't going to be finding one afterwords...Hopefully we don't wake up pink tomorrow!
