A HOT (but good) July week...

What did we do on this super hot week? We didn't stay out of the water long...that is for sure!

We saw baby Claire at their pool...so nice of them to share a place to cool off with us:)

We saw some fireworks on July 3rd...where despite my efforts, no worthy pictures of a firework emerged. These aren't that great either, but this is us parked at a good distance to see...and a good distance for things not to be so loud. Tinley liked naming firework colors (most were "pink"...even if they weren't pink if you know what I mean) and they both seemed to think it was great to be in the car without being in their seats.

We hit up the bike parade  (we took a trike and a scooter) for 4th of July, where we learned how HOT it really was.

Tinley liked the full out decor for her trike at the decorating station. For Parker 3 little star stickers was all he desired. Two different styles.

Flag raised by the firetruck. Love being a part of this and being thankful for many brave people who've worked for our freedom!

As you can see we were staying hydrated before the parade really even took off.

Parked liked hitting his scooter stride! Tinley ditched the trike and decided she'd rather be carried by Daddy.

There were also some other fun events. Tinley and I were especially impressed by this hula hoop contest...they just kept going and going!!

She decided to participate without a hula hoop. Really I needed a video to show her trying to move her hips all around!

Lucky for us, we have great neighbors who told us to jump in their pool when we got back. Ahhhh.

Elmo was happy to participate in the festivities.

And just to make sure we had enough red, white, and blue...we decided to wear it on our faces too!

And today since we had no water and there has been a common request of bouncing, we went to bounce u for some bouncing and sliding!

*While I usually take all the pictures of the events, Brandon gets in a "real" photography mood from time to time. He was happy to catch not one but two hummingbirds and the bird feeder....I wonder if they knew each other:)
